HISTORY OF THE OMEGA COMBINE

The Lost Colony
In the early days of Frontier Exploration, many colonization vessels were sent out to claim distant planets for resources. One of the first joint colonization vessels, the CSS Sunrunner, was set upon by unknown forces. In its attempt to escape the Astrogator miscalculated the jump and ended up unknown territory. With the ship's engine damaged, and life support failing, the Captain ordered the crew into cryogenic sleep and set the ship on autopilot. The ship was thought to be lost and was soon forgotten.

Omega IV
After a 150 years in space the CSS Sunrunner crashed on an unknown planet in the far reaches of space. The ship's Captain unable to discover where they were or how to get back started the colony of Dresdin. The planet was called Redimire and the system Omega IV. The colony thrived in the lush atmosphere of Redimire and built their first Spacecraft after 73 years. They than began to explore the area around Omega IV. The colony continued to advance into the unknown, increasing their colony to several systems. Neo-humans were developed to work on planets with light atmosphere, heavy gravity planets, and other places the core races could not work.

The Neo-Uprising
After 68 years of hard labor, the Neo-humans revolted against their oppressors. Humans divided into faction for and against Neo favor. The fledgling frontier was thrown into chaos as factions battled on another. Vrusk and Dralasite retreated to a secret sector of space that they had kept secret from humans. Nations formed almost overnight declaring their allegiance or alliance. Yazirian Mercenary Clans were the dreaded across known space for their merciless attack on their enemies.

The Ghanna Coalition
Even despite the constant warring, exploration continued. Seeking new planets for resources the Free Republic Anduross encountered 3 alien races. Hoping for a way to cease conflict the Ghanna Coalition was introduced as arbitrators in the Neo-human wars. A temporary cease-fire was called and several nations came to bring an end to the fighting. Enraged at the attempt, the Neo-Sapiens declared war all of human kind. They attacked Treaty meetings and raided planets across known space.

The Kzin Invasion
years of arbitration still brought the Neo-sapiens no closer to peace talks than when they began. The Coalition and the core races had set up relations and were starting to explore each other's systems. Then the Kzin invaded, hostile catlike aliens bent on conquest. System after system fell before them. Less than 5 months after the beginning of the invasion, Trasken Dar, leader of the Neo-Sapien Front, surrendered. The Neo-Sapiens were granted full immunity for their agreed help of fighting the Kzin. 4 years of fighting, the Kzin had proven difficult for the races of known space. Only able to delay their advance, the Kzin had captured 60 percent of the Omega sector. Even with the help of the Coalition, they would not be able to hold off the Kzin. Then they disappeared. The Kzin ships retreated from the Omega sector. Leaving behind millions of their brethren. Without the support of their spacefleet, the planet based Kzin were soon overpowered. Kzin were rounded up and forced to live in concentration camps called cat towns. After 2 decades they were aloud to leave the Cat towns, and intermingle with the general populace.

The Dirdir Empire
The Dirdir were encountered when they entered a colonized system. Relations were strained at first, but The Coalition and the Dirdir Empire came to a mutual agreement. The Dirdir welcomed the Coalition and were treated as a benign race for interstellar commerce purposes.

The United Front
With most of the Nations of the sector at peace, the Kzin began a mass exodus to the Akzoss, a Yazirian system. With the backing of most of the Yazirian Clans, they Petitioned of acceptance in the Coalition. After several months of discussion, the Kzin were granted their request. Shortly after the Omega Sector agreed in the formation of an interplanetary peace keeping force. Lone Star was formed to ensure peace would be kept among the sector.

The Old Frontier
In Frontier Year 114 the Vrusk merchant ship V'chk Ts'tar encounter a ship of unknown design. Fearing the worst, they retreated back and informed UPF. UPF quickly dispatched several warships to intercept the spacecraft. Much to their surprise, the ship hailed them in older form of Pan Galactic. After several days of discussion, it had been determined what had happened to the CSS Sunrunner. The next couple of years, delegates went to and from the Frontier to the section of space dubbed as 'The Edge' and secured treaties and trade agreements between the nations.
